REPROGRAPHICS has been a family-owned business since its inception back in 1989, with only one employee along with himself; Herman offered blueprint and copy services with attention to detail and prompt turn-around for Crystal Lake and the surrounding areas. As the years went by and the need for additional services increased, Herman, with the help of his son, Karl began to bring Reprographics into the digital age offering large format scanning and copying both black and white and in full color. Along with this it was noted that there were few for the art community to shop for fine art supplies.
Indeed times change, and from humble beginnings to being the LARGEST Fine Art Supply store in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin, we are always there for our customers…stop on by and see how we have grown.
Herman is the owner of Reprographics and enjoys being out in the store helping customers find what they need to work on all their art projects.
Merle is that first employee who assisted with blueprint production. He now does mounting and lamination services, cutting, and binding. He is also our man to call when something is not quite right with certain machines.
Karl, Herman’s son, has been with the company since 1994, upgrading services to digital format, being the primary purchasing manager for art supplies as well as the go-to guy for all art supply questions and anything else you may need.
Walt has been with us since 2007 as our Graphic Designer and is proficient in several software products to include In Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Mitzi, Karl’s wife, is the office manager and assists with cutting and binding.
Erich, Karl & Mitzi’s oldest son, came on board in 2013, assisting with large format printing, graphic design, and Giclée prints, as well as stretching art work to frames.
